On Saturday, December 12, Kinfolk Kickbacks is bringing the community together at Free Range Brewery in NoDa (2320 N Davidson St, Charlotte, NC 28205) for The Great Gumbo Giveback—an afternoon centered around good food, good people, and giving back.
From 12:00–5:00 PM, pull up and enjoy Kinfolk Kickbacks’ smoked chicken and turkey sausage gumbo, served with Carolina rice and cheddar cornbread. (Pork Free)
Your $20 ticket includes:
One cup of smoked chicken & turkey sausage gumbo (+$5 for Seafood Gumbo)
Carolina rice
Cheddar cornbread
Want to add a little more to your bowl? Upgrade your gumbo with shrimp and Dungeness crab for an additional $5.
And if one serving isn’t enough—or you want to take some home—to-go gumbo will be available for $12 per pint.
But this one is about more than what’s in the pot. Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the East Carolina University Hospitality Management Scholarship Fund, helping support the next generation of hospitality professionals.
We’re also asking guests to bring canned goods or other non-perishable food items to the event. All donated food will benefit Second Harvest Food Bank.
Come hungry. Bring something for the pantry. Grab a bowl, take a pint home, and leave knowing your support helped do some good.
